    Let's take stock, shall we?

Sheffield Wednesday on the cusp of a first win in 30 before heart-break hit in the 90th minute at home to Watford.

Derby County having not one but four big chances go to waste as they lose at Millwall, who close in to within a point of second-placed Middlesbrough.

Leicester take their first win under Gary Rowett, keep their first clean sheet since September and escape the bottom three.

Fifth beat sixth in north Wales as Hull City claimed a 2-1 win at Wrexham.

And that game at the bet365... bedlam!

We are back tomorrow to do it all over again, with West Bromwich Albion and Oxford United looking to get out of the relegation zone and Boro aiming to extend a healthy gap on the Lions.

See you there? If tonight's been anything to go off, you won't want to be anywhere else.

Stoke City manager Mark Robins speaking to Sky Sports:

"I can be proud of a lot of that performance. I think there's some elements of it I can be really angry with it.

"We've spoken about it in the dressing room but I think we've been brilliant first half, transition football really good. Some really good football we played.

"Defended as well as we needed to. Played the elements really well.

"We've got a young squad that worked really well in the first half. In the second half, we worked hard but we just missed a few tackles at the wrong moment.

"As soon as you lose that it gives them a bit of momentum, they come out and they score a terrible goal from our point of view.

"And then the second one from a long throw, we turn our back again, that's not us. But the third one was even worse.

"I give the goalkeeper [Tommy Simkin] a lot of praise but he has to do better with that.

"There are things that were really, really poor but the fact we kept going, to score three against Ipswich in the manner we did, I thought we deserved at least a point."

  3. Still 'disappointed' with Owls drawpublished at 22:34 GMT 10 March

    FT: Sheff Wed 1-1 Watford

    Watford

Watford head coach Ed Still told BBC Radio Three Counties:

“Really disappointed. Strange game. We've created some fantastic opportunities there in the first half, which we've been doing well in the previous games to take.

“We’ve gotten ahead in games early previously and again, we started really well. We've come up there with what felt like four or five really big chances in the first half and we didn't take them.

“Then the injury to [Jeremy] Petris kind of put a halt to the positive flow that we had going. And again, it's disappointing, it's really unlucky to get that injury, but you've got to reshuffle.”

“We didn't have [Jeremy] Ngakia with us and so we've got to reshuffle a little bit, find a different balance. Then we've come out in the second half and we haven't been stable enough in that second-half performance just to keep pushing and we've kind of opened up maybe a little bit too much and we've given away a few huge chances to them.”

I am completely done with officials in the EFL, the standard across the board is beyond abysmal. Another clear mistake this evening after a two absolute howlers at Portman Road on Saturday. But hey ho I’m not allowed to moan as they all ‘even out’…. Rubbish

  5. 'We've got to take the chances' - Eustacepublished at 22:31 GMT 10 March

    FT: Millwall 1-0 Derby

    Derby County

Derby boss John Eustace told BBC Radio Derby:

“I'm disappointed to lose. I thought second half, we were excellent and we've got to take the chances when they're given to us.

“It just wasn't good enough today. In the first half, we didn’t get tight enough in midfield. That was very evident and we made changes at half-time, we were a lot more competitive.

“You know to concede again, another soft goal on our part. Millwall are going to score from free-kicks and corners and for us not to defend the second or third phase is disappointing. We have to learn from it and we have to stop conceding those kind of goals.

“I think the free-kick, which led to their goal certainly wasn't a free-kick. I think sometimes, you know, it just takes a bit of a calm head to make the right decisions. I've got to be careful what I say, of course, but even at the end, it could easily have been a penalty for the foul.

“So listen, we’re disappointed, but we’ve got to take a lot of heart and we were very positive in the second half. We've come to a team third in the league, doing very well, and put in a really good performance in that second half. So you know, that's pleasing.”

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna looks frustrated at full-timeImage source, Shutterstock

Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna speaking to Sky Sports:

"Of course we're devastated at the moment with the late goal and how it came about. It was obviously a game of two halves wasn't it?

"It was a really difficult night, the [windy] conditions were really difficult for both teams but first half we found it tough to adjust to that.

"We made a couple of mistakes. We showed outstanding character in the second half, there is no doubt about that. It was a top, top performance.

"Deserved to win the game with the way that we performed and we're devastated about the last goal.

"We're disappointed with our composure and dealing with that moment. I think it's also really, really soft and we saw the incident with Cedric Kipre in the 96th minute on Saturday at Leicester, it's beyond irony I guess.

"I think it's really soft but we're frustrated with our bit of it that we didn't handle our emotions and control that last minute better.

"But it's an outstanding second half effort from the boys."

"Happy that we get a penalty in the last minute and that I could take it and score it."

On whether he was nervous taking a last-minute penalty: "No, I was really calm to be honest."

Stoke City defender Ashley Phillips speaking to Sky Sports:

"I think the way we started the first half, we started really well. We were aggressive, on the front foot, we scored two goals.

"But we started the second half slow and got punished for it. But credit to the lads to stay in the game and claw out the point in the end."

On the press in the first half: "Definitely, that was the plan from the beginning, to be on the front foot. We were and we got rewarded for it. We need to continue that into the final games of the season."

On the second half: "We stuck at it in the last 10 minutes and got them on the back foot. A year ago today we probably lose that game but we stuck in there and got the point in the end, so we're really happy with it."

A huge win for Leicester against Bristol City takes them out of the bottom three, increasing the pressure on Oxford and West Bromwich Albion for tomorrow's affairs.

Millwall also win big this evening as their 1-0 victory over Derby County puts them within one point of second-placed Middlesbrough, while the Rams lick their wounds after missing the chance to close the gap on Wrexham, who lost at home to fifth-placed Hull City.

Though maybe the most disappointed of the night will be Ipswich Town, who came back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 only for Stoke to level with a controversial late penalty.

    Fantastic three points.

From start to finish, we controlled the game. In the second half, Wrexham threw everything at us, but we stayed at it. Fair play to Wrexham, they gave it a good go, there were some great performances out there.

I'm delighted for Lewis Koumas today, he made two great decisions at the right time and got himself a great goal.

That is as soft as penalties come. And it could cost them promotion. Ridiculous.

    Matt - London

So how is that a penalty but the one on Saturday isn't? These refs are an absolute joke

    Ryan - Ipswich

Standard of refereeing in the Championship is abysmal. Ipswich lose four points from shocking decisions and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Hate watching football these days due to woeful officiating.

Ipswich fans are certainly not happy about the late penalty awarded against their side and with some justification

  16. Watford spoil Palmer party for Owlspublished at 22:03 GMT 10 March

    Liam PalmerImage source, Shutterstock

Sheffield Wednesday skipper Liam Palmer said before tonight's game that he was hopeful of a special result to mark his 500th appearance for the club.

It looked like he was going to get it too but Vivaldo Semedo's late leveller means the Owls remain on course to become the first Football League team ever to go a whole season without a home win.

  17. 'Disappointing result but heartwarming performance'published at 22:01 GMT 10 March

    FT: Millwall 1-0 Derby

    Eric Steele
Former Derby and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Radio Derby

In the end, Derby can be proud of the way they played in the second half.

We changed it in the second half and did a lot better with the ball, Carlton Morris made a real difference when he came on, but the game is determined in both boxes, they took the chance at their end. We had four chances towards the end and you would have expected us to score three of them.

It really is a disappointing result but a heartwarming performance in the second half.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:56 GMT 10 March

    Stoke 3-3 Ipswich

An incredible game comes to an end.

Ipswich Town thought they had pulled off one of the comebacks of the season having trailed 2-0 at half-time and recovered to lead 3-2.

But a fairly soft penalty right at the last gave Stoke the chance to salvage a point and Milan Smit drilled home from the spot to ensure it ends all square.

A real gut-punch for Ipswich in their bid for automatic promotion. It's now one win in 11 games for Stoke but they might feel like they've won this one with the way it ended.
