    Queen’s Park P-P Ross County

Queen's Park head coach Sean Crighton tells BBC Scotland: "There's a lot of hard places on the pitch. There are a lot of areas that aren't safe for the players.

  5. Cold snap in Glasgowpublished at 19:38 GMT 21 November 2025

    Queen’s Park P-P Ross County

Temperatures dropped this week in Glasgow, with frost and ice prevalent around the city.

The pitch at Lesser Hampden does not have the same defences against the cold as the neighbouring national stadium.

Latterly, it has started to rain on Glasgow's southside.

So, since the players took to the pitch, they and staff of both clubs expressed concerns over the pitch.

It’s, obviously, been very cold and the pitch is very, very hard.

After a lot of words in their ears, the officials have officially called this game off 15 minutes from kick-off.

No officials are willing to comment.

  9. Can County find a way to climb Championship?published at 19:24 GMT 21 November 2025

    Queen's Park v Ross County (19:45)

    Jonathan Sutherland
    Sportscene presenter

Unlike his misfiring side, when Tony Docherty took aim last weekend he did not miss.

"An unacceptable level of performance," he said.

"I have always come out and defended the players. I can't defend that."

The Ross County manager took no prisoners after his side lost 3-0 at home to Greenock Morton.

The defeat to Dougie Imrie's side kept County second bottom of the table, in the relegation play-off spot. Much better was expected from a side only relegated from the Premiership last season and among the favourites to go right back up.
