  1. 'Those found guilty of racial abuse shouldn't be in football'published at 13:40 GMT

Chelsea v Burnley (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Here is Liam Rosenior now.

The first topic he is asked about is the incident of alleged racial abuse targeted at Real Madrid's Vinicus Junior in the Champions League this week - and he has given a strong response.

Rosenior says any individual found guilty of racial abuse "shouldn't be in the game".

Speaking on his own experiences, he adds: "When you are judged for something you are proud of, it's the worst thing you can imagine."

While the Chelsea boss did not want to comment in detail while the incident is investigated, he says: "When you see a player upset how Vinicus Junior was upset, usually that is for a reason."

    Full quotes to come.

Promising start and he appears to be gelling with players. He's also got us crossing the ball into the box against a low block, something Maresca-ball wouldn't allow.

That's your lot from Arne Slot.

We're going to pause this live text for a couple of hours and will return at 1:15pm, when we will hear from Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior before his side host Burnley on Saturday.

In the meantime, here's a recap of where the morning has taken us as we analysed where Arsenal's draw at Wolves leaves the title race, and heard from Liverpool boss Arne Slot:

Liverpool fan - definitely not optimistic. Slot doesn't play a style that suits the players he has, including the players bought last summer. Bought by Hughes & Edwards! Over to them.

No more optimistic, not sustained performances to suggest any improvement.

  9. 'Hope my players immediately address abuse'published at 10:57 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

More from Liverpool boss Arne Slot, on what advice he'd give to his players if they suffer racist abuse:

"Immediately address it, and I would hope the referee who is in charge acts in the same way. And those protocols need to be followed.

"As it's under investigation, I cannot say too much about that situation [in Real Madrid's Champions League match at Benfica], but in general, as I said, we can never do too much."

  10. 'We need to make sure racist abuse never happens'published at 10:55 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Some final words to bring you from Liverpool boss Arne Slot, who was asked about whether he believes enough is being done to combat racism in football following the incident of alleged racist abuse towards Vinicius Junior this week:

"In general, you can never do enough, you can always do more. We should always try to do more to make sure this never happens again. And that's what I mean in general.

"I think we have to try as a football world, football community, to do more than society does - that's maybe not so difficult by the way. And I think protocol has been followed during the games, so that's the first step. I think the football world reacted as you expect it to react, and I'm trying to do the same now."

Not a Liverpool fan, but they're getting Champions League. They're simply too good not to, and their style of football is incredibly entertaining. Genuinely think it's a detriment to the competition if they aren't involved. Especially if Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz are firing next season.

  12. 'More difficult facing new Forest boss Pereira'published at 10:48 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has the added challenge of trying to work out how newly appointed Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira will set up his side on Sunday. On that, Slot said:

"That makes it a little more difficult because we only have tonight [when Forest play in the Europa League] to see if this manager changes personnel, changes tactics.

"The good thing is there is still one game to be played before we play them and we know him because he worked last season in the Premier League as well, but you adapt to the players you have. Although managers prefer playing styles, you take into account which players you have as well.

"Let's see. It has been a difficult game for us in the beginning of the season [when Liverpool lost 3-0 at home]. Although the first half hour was very, very good from us. Chance after chance, and then we conceded a set-piece and the game went the complete opposite way. We know what we can expect when we play Forest because I've played them three times already."

What I don't like about Slot is how, whenever he loses, there's no accountability. He always moans at the opposition because they didn't play the way he wanted. I find it insulting.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot was also asked about last night's Premier League match and whether Wolves' draw with Arsenal showed how hard it is to beat sides at the bottom of the league:

"We didn't need yesterday to know how difficult it is to win a Premier League game. We've experienced it this season already a lot of times, and all the teams experienced it.

"That's what makes the Premier League nicer this season and last season, that it's much more competitive than three, four, five, six years ago.

"We've improved compared to three or four months ago, but I think I would even, as weird as it may sound, include the Bournemouth game because apart from the goals we conceded, we had total control, were dominant, created a lot of chances. And the same could be said about the second half against [Manchester] City."

  17. 'Sometimes opponents don't want an entertaining game'published at 10:32 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot was asked whether his side have become more entertaining as the season has progressed, following criticism only a few months ago:

"I didn't agree with you if you put it that way, but the teams we faced weren't as entertaining as the teams we've recently maybe faced, so it will never be about us. Every game is entertaining, yes or no. That is at least my take.

"We always try to press, we always try to bring the ball out of the back. We always want to entertain. We don't always achieve in that, and if we don't, sometimes it's about us because we don't execute things well enough, but it's mainly because the teams we are facing don't want an entertaining game, which is completely fair. I'm not debating that, I would probably do the same if I had to face Liverpool.

"For a large part of the season, when we lost or drew games, we did not deserve at all to draw or lose that game. The amount of times that we've created so many chances, more than enough to score one, two, three goals, has been a lot."

  18. Postpublished at 10:23 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

Liverpool have won four of their past five matches across all competitions, scoring 14 goals in those victories.

Their only defeat came against Manchester City, whom they led until the dramatic closing stages.

Now, as they seek to end an inconsistent campaign with a strong finish to clinch a Champions League place, they take on four of the bottom five teams in their next four matches with Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Wolves and Tottenham to come.

  19. 'We will hopefully see the best of Isak when he returns'published at 10:17 GMT

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Here's a bit more from Liverpool boss Arne Slot on Alexander Isak's recovery following the news that the Sweden striker has begun stepping up his rehabilitation from injury:

"It's nice for him to go on the pitch and it's nice for us to see him there. There's still enough work to be done but you do know, as a player, you arrive in the final stages of your rehab. When you're in the gym and not on the pitch, that's not the nicest part.

"Next step is doing ball with the work, which every player likes most, and then into the group. Then it takes a while before you're ready to play."

On whether Slot expects to see the best of Isak when he returns: "That gives us a different player to what we have now. But we are also expecting a different player at the end of the season than we had in the first part, which makes complete sense because I've said it a hundred times that I think we have to give him time.

"If a player has been out for four or five months only in individual training, we cannot expect that he's up to speed straight away, so unfortunately for him and for us we haven't used the best Alex yet but this club and our fans will see the best Alex hopefully this season but for sure in the upcoming years.

"Let's not put a timescale on it, but it's clear that he will be available if everything goes as planned this season."

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, on the latest team news:

"Jeremie [Frimpong] will not be involved this weekend yet. We hope he will be involved next week if things go as planned.

"Wataru [Endo] will be out for a long time. We don't know exactly how long, but long.

"And Alex [Isak] has been on the pitch now - not with his football shoes - with his running shoes for the first time this week, so that will still take a while before he is ready to play for us again."
