It certainly has not been vintage Bundesliga action on show this evening but there is stilly plenty to talk about in Germany.

Monchengladbach's winning streak comes to an end as the points are shared at Borussia Park.

RB Leipzig had by far more attempts and possession, but Monchengladbach's disallowed goal and overturned penalty were the most noteable events of the evening.

Neither side can feel particularly robbed of three points here.

The disallowed goal and overturned penalty decision has provided seven minutes of added time in West Germany.

RB Leipzig have just had their closest chance of the game after winning the ball deep into Borussia Monhengladbach's half.

The ball ends up at the feet of full-back David Raum, who cannons the ball across goal which rattles against the crossbar.

Shuto Machino goes down in the box after a challenge from Leipzig veteran Willy Orban.

The referee doesn't take too long to figure out that Orban wins the ball and play resumes.

A disallowed goal and an overturned penalty will be frustrating for the Monchengladbach faithful, but it is hard to argue that it was not the correct decision.

Conrad Harder had the closest chance of the first half and has produced an even bigger one in the second.

He once again finds himself on the ball from distance on the left hand side of the box and fires a shot across goal.

It forces an excellent reaching save from Moritz Nicolas which results in a corner.

Will we see his first goal for the club this evening?

The game slightly has opened up since the disallowed goal.

Both teams are playing with more confidence and are being braver in possession.

Hopefully this monentum can continue so the deadlock can be broken.

Borussia Monchengladbach should be looking to get Haris Tabakovic involved more in this second half.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international is on fire, with seven goals in his previous six matches in all competitions for both club and country.

Can he be the difference maker for the home side?

The first half has been a cagey affair to say the least.

The away side have had more shots but have not really broke down the Monchengladbach defence, with most of their efforts coming from outside of the box.

Monchengladbach have finally registered their first few shots of the game, but both were blocked before they could trouble the goalkeeper.

Perhaps the closest chance so far came from Leipzig forward Conrad Harder, who is yet to score for the club after arriving from Sporting in the summer.

The Dane's long-ranged effort whistled past the post - but it was a half chance at most.

RB Leipzig have won on just one of their previous five visits to Borussia-Park.

That victory came in September 2023, when Timo Werner - who is not in the Leipzig squad tonight - scored the only goal of the game.

Can Ole Werner's side improve their record tonight?

Monchengladbach and Leipzig scored five goals between them in last weekend's Bundesliga games, but there has been no signs of a goal so far this evening.

The away side have regsitered two shots, but neither troubled goalkeeper Mortiz Nicholas.

The home side name an unchanged lineup from their 3-0 victory against FC Heidenheim last weekend.

Leipzig boss Ole Werner names one change from their win against Werder Bremen, opting to start Xaver Schlager ahead of Assan Ouedraogo in midfield.

Haris Tabakovicis one of the most in form players in the Bundesliga currently. He has contributed to six of Gladbach’s ten goals in this unbeaten run, four goals and two assists. He’ll be looking to help his side win on Friday night and add to his season tally of seven goals and two assists.

19-year-old Assan Ouédraogo has become a regular starter in RB Leipzig’s side since matchday four. The teenager already has three goals and three assists in 11 appearances in the Bundesliga this season as well as the third most goal involvements for the Red Bulls in the league.

Borussia Monchengladbach are in a rich vein of form having won their last three matches which has turned their season around. Prior to this run, they were winless and sat at the bottom of the table with just three points from their opening eight fixtures.

Their three wins in the Bundesliga have all come in the month of November and has seen them score ten goals and concede only once. Another win would complete a perfect November for Gladbach and make them the only team in the Bundesliga to not drop points during the month.

RB Leipzig are hoping to continue their best start to a season after 11 matches since their first season in the Bundesliga. They have 25 points from a potential 33 this season and will look to add another win to close the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich to just three points.

The Red Bulls enjoyed their best result of the season on the road with a 6-0 thrashing over Augsburg in week eight, but all the points they’ve dropped so far this season have come away from home.

Of the 18 times these two sides have met, RB Leipzig have come away with all three points on ten separate occasions. However, Monchengladbach were unbeaten when they faced the two sides faced last season, winning at home and drawing away.
