"We will celebrate however it feels in the moment and it will obviously be a show of how much it means to us."

Genuinely, why should I feel sorry for Man City fans, when they seem to be laughing in everyone's faces and showing not a single ounce of respect?

It is unfortunate that Manchester City should be playing games alongside their appeal. The saddest thing will be that, if after all these celebrations of victories, the appeal ended up being overturned and a heavy punishment slammed on them, the smiles may continue or vanish. It makes it very dicey.

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City defender Ruben Dias on how he's approaching his role as captain in light of the club's current situation:

"Just as any other year, any other captain, or any other kind of responsibility because to be the captain of your team is to always be there for whatever is needed.

"This time it's maybe a different challenge, well not different because it happened in the past already.

"I'm here for it and so will the other three captains and the rest of the team.

"We will defend the club, we will fight for it and we trust the club."

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on captain Ruben Dias: "Since I've joined the club, since the summer, I was in touch with Ruben, also because he was the captain so I needed to speak with him for a different reason.

"Since day one he has been a real leader and he is doing very well in all the aspect."

The farce of listening to Maresca pretend nothing is wrong is sickening. I don't blame him - what else can he do? - but the Premier League needs to finish this and remove them from the league as soon as possible.

  10. 'We know the seriousness of the situation'published at 12:39 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on scrutiny of the club and his message to players:

"I said many times, I am a completely calm, relaxed. I promise you I stress a lot about gameplans and how we can train every day, but I don't stress about things that I don't control.

"So, the message with the players will be exactly the same as I said, we know the seriousness of the situation but at the same time it is not something that we can do something. Where we can do things is on the pitch so that is why I like to focus there and the message to the players is exactly the same.

"I said after the Liverpool game that the noise around the team is a big noise but we need to try to deal with that and try to make our noise, which is to win games."

City players and fans deserved that celebration. They have a horrible situation that's not their fault and they achieved a big win. Some supporters have this "holier than thou" mentality but their backs aren't against the wall.

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Ruben Dias on the news breaking during the international break that Manchester City had been found guilty of breaching financial rules:

"When it broke we felt like we should have a conversation as soon as we got back.

"We did so just for everyone to be on the same page and to be clear about our peace of mind and we moved on.

"Obviously, it happened in a moment when we were not together but we quickly reached out to each other and quickly we found calm and we progressed forward."

  13. 'More focused on tomorrow'published at 12:33 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

More from Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on the club's 16 consecutive seasons in the Champions League and the competition's importance to the club:

"I am just more focused on tomorrow. For sure, the Champions League for this organisation is so important, no doubt.

"We are going to try to improve, compared to the last two, three years where the club, the team struggled a little bit.

"So, we are going to try to do our best to improve that. Again, where we can be in March, April or if this is the last Champions League for a while, I don't know."

  14. 'People don't love us winning and we love to win'published at 12:31 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Right, here are some of those quotes from Manchester City defender Ruben Dias, who broached all topics head on and spoke openly about how the players are dealing with the club's current situation.

Here he is on dealing with "noise'" from opposition supporters:

"Personally and I really feel like I speak for the whole group, we trust the club. We're very calm and were very focused on enjoying football. We know the team we've got, we want to make the most out of it, we want to win, and that's the only thing in our mind.

"If there's more or less noise or whatever the reason the noise is, at the end of the day it's all the same, same as before, because people don't love us winning and we love to win."

  15. 'We used international break to analyse games'published at 12:29 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on whether it has been a challenge knowing where to improve: "We used the international break to analyse all our seven games, the previous seven games [before international break]. From there we can see the things that we absolutely need to improve. But again, this is evolution from the Liverpool game.

"I was not happy with the first half in the way we were playing with the ball, off the ball we were quite good so every game [there] is a way or moment we can learn from to improve."

  16. Should Man City be criticised for Anfield celebrations?published at 12:28 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

  17. 'Need to improve many things'published at 12:26 BST

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on winning every game since the Community Shield and rating his side's start to the season: "We need to improve many things, for sure. The way we try to attack, the way we try to defend, no doubt we need to improve things.

"And then in terms of the journey since we started, as you said, we have won seven or eight games in a row - for me they have been all different for different situations.

"For instance, the last one at Anfield has been different to the rest for all the situation happening during the international break. Games where we were losing 0-1, Bournemouth then we won. Man Utd game with 10 players - all different games.

"But for sure, winning games in our job is the most important thing. But for me, it is more the day-by-day, the things I can see from the players, that I feel very happy."

Man City v Paris St-Germain (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca on Pep Guardiola's visit: "Again, I spoke with him after the United game so I don't know his plan. I don't know if he is coming straight to the stadium or if he is coming to the training ground, I don't know - I don't have any idea. It is exciting for everyone, for the fans, but I don't know Pep's plans at the moment."
