  3. Partick Thistle bag top six with late win over Hamilton Acciespublished at 19:28 GMT 22 February

    Partick Thistle 3-2 Hamilton Accies

    Partick Thistle leapfrogged Montrose to book the final top six spot in the SWPL with a late win at home to Hamilton Accies.

    Montrose started the day a point ahead of Partick Thistle but with their defeat to Rangers Thistle just needed a win to secure a spot in the top half.

    The hosts went a goal down when Josi Giard fired Accies in front after 15 minutes but Isla Taylor and Addie Handley scored late on in the first half to give Thistle a 2-1 lead at the break.

    Hamilton's Melissa Reid fired an impressive strike into the corner from the edge of the box to level the tie with 15 minutes to play - a result which would have seen Thistle miss out on the top six.

    Celtic loanee Sienna McGoldrick scored with the final kick of the game to confirm the three points and Thistle's place in the top six.

    Hamilton Accies meanwhile remain bottom of the table heading into the split.

  4. Noonan nets hat-trick as Celtic beat Hearts in eight-goal thrillerpublished at 19:27 GMT 22 February

    Saoirse Noonan scored a hat-trick as Celtic came out on top in a thrilling eight-goal SWPL match with Hearts to stay within five points of the summit.

    Noonan scored twice in the space of 11 first-half minutes to put Celtic two ahead before Eilidh Shore pulled one back.

    Tara O'Hanlon restored Celtic's two-goal advantage, with Morgan Cross adding a fourth.

    A Claire Walsh own goal provided Hearts with another lifeline, but Noonan would complete her hat-trick before a late consolation from Bayley Hutchison.

  5. Rangers remain second after dispatching Montrosepublished at 19:26 GMT 22 February

    Rangers 2-0 Montrose

    Rangers dispatched Montrose to ensure they remain within five points of SWPL leaders Glasgow City.

    Mia McAulay opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, netting after 18 minutes.

    And a deserved victory was sealed when Laura Berry notched Rangers' second with just over 15 minutes remaining.

    Rangers remain second, above Celtic on goal difference and five adrift of City, while Montrose are seventh.

  6. Glasgow City maintain five-point lead with win at Motherwellpublished at 19:22 GMT 22 February

    Motherwell 0-4 Glasgow City

    Glasgow City maintained their five-point lead at the SWPL summit by cruising to a comfortable victory at Motherwell.

    First-half goals from Nicole Kozlova, Amy Anderson and Linda Motlhalo sent City into the break three up.

    Lisa Forrest missed a penalty just before the interval, but Abi Harrison sealed the four-goal win in the second period.

    Kodie Hay was sent off for a second bookable offence late in the game, compounding a tough day for Motherwell.

  7. Hibs pile pressure on Aberdeen with comfortable winpublished at 16:20 GMT 22 February

    Aberdeen 0-3 Hibernian

    Hibernian ended their pre-split campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win at Aberdeen.

    The Dons managed to hold off the SWPL champions for over an hour before striker Kathleen McGovern opened the scoring.

    The striker picked up on the left before beating numerous Aberdeen defender and fired an excellent strike into the top corner from range.

    She added a second with 10 minutes to play, the striker skipped past two Dons defenders before slotting the ball home.

    Tiree Burchill added a third on 90 minutes, Livingstone delivered another excellent ball into the box for her teammate to send a low drive into the back of the net.

    Hibs remain fifth in the SWPL table heading into the split while Aberdeen remain in the relegation play-off place.
