  1. 'Six to eight points are needed to survive'published at 14:35 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT))

    Leeds United

A final word from Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, who was asked about the relegation battle: "Always expect every team to fight until the end, to grab their chance to stay in the league. One of the seasons where you maybe need a few more points that previously when 32 might have been enough.

"Don’t expect it will happen again this season, we need to win at least six more points but might need one or two more. Six to eight points are needed, eight opportunities and want to do it."

  2. 'It's good that we can be picky'published at 14:33 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Leeds United

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke on who his front two will be against Brentford: "Difficult to judge after Palace. Based on first-half we didn’t allow Palace any chances, had better chances, Dominic Calvert-Lewin twice with good chances and a penalty, a good chance for Brenden Aaronson.

"Strange game because of so many dead-ball situations. Had to change at half-time but I know I can always count on Lukas Nmecha, he’s in good shape and trains well. Always an option to start with him but we also have other options. It's good that we can be picky."

  3. Calvert-Lewin England call up would be 'positive surprise'published at 14:31 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Leeds United

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke on Dominic Calvert-Lewin receiving a potential England call up on Friday: "Not shocked because it would be a positive surprise, as he has not been called up in recent years. Fantastic season so far. It's still important he chips in and concentrates on performances with us. He had an excellent second half on Sunday."

  4. 'I trust my squad can find a good solution'published at 14:29 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Leeds United

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke on left-back options without Gudmundsson: "We also have the chance to change but JJ is a natural replacement.

"He’s used to it but we have other options, perhaps a winger-type or Sam Byram. I don’t see Pascal Struijk in this position, not that we have too many natural replacements but I trust my squad can find a good solution."

  5. 'Noah Okafor back in training'published at 14:27 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Leeds United

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke on the fitness of Noah Okafor: "Better. Back in team training since the beginning of the week. Obviously he’s been out several weeks to question is how many minutes he’s got in the tank but he’s available."

Other team news: "Everyone is available, no one out injured. A good situation to be in going into the March international break."

  8. Leeds United lead the relegation packpublished at 14:22 GMT

Leeds United v Brentford (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Leeds United are safe... right?

With 32 points and eight games left to play, on any other given year you'd probably say yes.

    Not this season, though.

The Yorkshire side currently sit in 15th but are only three points above West Ham United who occupy the final relegation spot.

Daniel Farke's side play Brentford on Saturday night, in what feels like a must win game given Tottenham are playing Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The weekend could finish with a shuffled bottom six.

So, let's get some thoughts from the Leeds United manager now...

  9. Recap: Rosenior news conferencepublished at 14:15 GMT

    Chelsea

That's all from the Chelsea boss before Saturday's game against Everton.

Lots to go at in there but he answered all the big topics that we were expecting.

    Here are the top lines:

    • Rosenior confirmed defender Trevoh Chalobah will be out for "around six weeks" with the injury he picked up against Paris St-Germain and added that he expects captain Reece James to return after the international break
    • He said Enzo Fernandez is "completely committed" to Chelsea after the midfielder seemed to cast doubt over his future following the defeat by PSG
    • Team news leaks "have been dealt with" explained Rosenior and recent ridicule of him on social media "does not bother" him
    • Rosenior said Mamadou Sarr remains "a massive part" of his plans, despite the defender struggling in the defeat by PSG
    • Finally, he gave an update on long-term absentee Levi Colwill and claimed it will be "a good while yet" before he is back in action, despite returning to the training pitch recently

A final word from Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, who gave an update on long-term absentee Levi Colwill:

"With an ACL, he's hitting all of the benchmarks he needs to but we need to make sure he keeps getting past certain levels. He's still looking at a good while yet."

  11. Time for Chelsea to 'fight at Everton and come through a difficult period'published at 14:07 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on a difficult week for him and the club: "Every manager goes through difficult weeks. I've had challenging periods before. I've lost games in many jobs, like all managers have done. We need to find a way to fight at Everton and come through a difficult period."

On turning attention back to the Premier League: "You want to be in the Champions League. It makes everything clearer, not just from a financial point of view. This club deserves to be in the Champions League. That's the target."

Ref Clayton@13.49 - is this Rosenior's burner account? "Chelsea’s playing form has actually been very good." Delusional.

    Scott, Fife

Sorry, but that Clayton comment is ridiculous. Not sure which Chelsea team he's been watching but this is about the MENS team not the Womens. Plus Jackson couldn't hit a barn door with a barn door seeking missile from 5 yards.

  14. Sarr 'a massive part' of Rosenior's planspublished at 14:01 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on defenderMamadou Sarr, who made a mistake for PSG's first goal on Tuesday: "It's a lot for all of us. We are expected to achieve in the now. I am so excited for his career, that is why he is here. You have to go through negative experiences sometimes to improve. He is a massive part of our plans."

On Jorrel Hato, who also struggled against the European Champions: "Jorrel has been top since he has been at the club."

  15. Criticism of note passing 'doesn't bother' Roseniorpublished at 13:59 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on the social media ridiculing of him writing notes and passing them to his players while 8-2 down on aggregate against PSG:

"It doesn't bother me. The reality is that I have to help this club win matches. If I don't, if I breathe wrong or sneeze wrong, people will talk about it. It doesn't affect me. It's my job to be aware. Am I surprised? No.

"In terms of the game on Tuesday, it completely didn't go the way we wanted it to.

"Me handing out a note is not a reflection of my message not getting across to the players."

For all of Rosenior's words of lessons learnt, we speak to the players, must do better - the simple fact is that our players, bought on the model of young with potential aren’t good enough to do something about it. We need experienced players in the mix.

  17. Team news leaks 'dealt with'published at 13:54 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior was asked about his team news before the PSG game being leaked early to French media for the second week running:

"We know. It's not come from any place of malicious intent, to me or the team.

"We have dealt with the situation."

  18. Fernandez 'completely committed' to Chelsea after commentspublished at 13:51 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on comments after the PSG defeat from Enzo Fernandez appearing to cast doubt over his future:

"I had a great conversation with Enzo at length this morning at the training ground. Not just about the comments, but the future and how much we want to win the coming games.

"I would say he made it really clear to me how happy he is here, how much he wants to win for the team, and how passionate he is for this football club.

"He said also the translation and emotion got misconstrued. He is completely committed to this football club."

Everyone jumps on the commentator band wagon. Chelsea’s playing form has actually been very good. We’ve dominated every game an looked good doing it. Our passing sideways from CB to CB has decreased and we’ve looked very positive cutting teams apart. We just can’t score. Jackson would though.

  20. Chalobah out for 'around six weeks', James problem 'not serious'published at 13:47 GMT

    Everton v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on Trevoh Chalobah's fitness after he was stretchered off against PSG:

"Wasn’t until after the game I saw the image. Then you’re really worried for the next day.

"Never good Trev is out for but nowhere near as serious as we first thought. Still serious but looking at a period of around six weeks."

On goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen: "Filip had a scan and needing minor operation. Not too serious, a matter of weeks."

On Reece James: "Reece we will look more after the international break. Not serious but something in his hamstring we will monitor after the international break."
