First-half goals from Luis Diaz and Konrad Laimer put Bayern in a strong position going into the break.

They picked up where they left off, with second half goals from Jamal Musiala from the spot which also saw Gladbach's Ricco Reitz being sent off. Nicolas Jackson rounded off Bayern's evening getting his fourth goal of the season.

Borussia Monchengladbach got one back late on, with Wael Mohya making history as the first 17-year-old to score for the club.

Bayern now look ahead to their Champions League fixture against Atalanta on Tuesday night before travelling to Leverkusen on Saturday.

As for Gladbach, they are our next Friday night fixture here on the BBC as they host St. Pauli.

It's a triple sub for Bayern here, with Vincent Kompany looking to rest some players for their Champions League match in Atalanta on Tuesday.

Upamecano, Laimer and Diaz all come off. Stanišić, Raphaël Guerreiro come on, alongside Maycon Douglas Cardozo who makes his debut.

M'gladbach also make a couple of changes, with Honorat and Tabaković making way for Chiarodia and Machino.

Nicolas Jackson gets on the end of a through ball and is clean on goal. Ricco Reitz is tracking him, falls and pulls Jackson down.

Reitz also shown a red card for the challenge.

Laimer's strike just before half-time makes things a lot more comfortable for Bayern Munich heading into the break.

A couple of M'gladbach attempts that would have worried Vincent Kompany early in the first-half, but Diaz's volley just after the 30 minute mark settled the nerves before Laimer found the net again for Bayern.

Manuel Neuer has been called into action a couple of times tonight with some loose balls in the Bayern box causing some uncertainty.

It's been a fairly balanced encounter so far despite Bayern seeing more of the ball.

The ball has found the back of the Gladbach net, but Karl started his run too soon and he was flagged offside.

Bayern Munich look to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga as they host relegation fighting Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bayern Munich are dominating the Bundesliga as it stands, with an impressive 63 points from their opening 24 matches. They have only dropped nine points all season, drawing three matches and losing once to Augsburg at home. The German champions could also break the Bundesliga record for most points in a season, 91 total, if they win their remaining 10 fixtures.

Bayern’s dominance has come from having one of Europe’s most exciting frontlines, with England captain Harry Kane being supported by Michael Olise and Luis Diaz on either side of him. The front three have a combined 53 goals scored and 31 assists between them.

Borussia Monchengladbach are struggling to replicate their early season form. The Foals went on a five-match unbeaten run just before the winter break, where they boasted the joint best form in those five matches alongside their opponents this week, winning four and drawing one of those matches.

However, since the winter break, Gladbach have only won two of their nine matches and picked up nine points in that time. They did win last time out against Union Berlin, but their lack of points in recent weeks means they sit just three points above the relegation play-off position. The Foals will be looking to get their season back on track with back-to-back wins for the first time since November.
