Your views before the Premier League weekend

  1. Goodbye!published at 15:59 GMT

That is your lot for today.

Here are your top lines from the five news conferences:

  2. 'I hope Xhaka will recover and heal quickly'published at 15:56 GMT

Arsenal v Sunderland (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Sunderland

A final word from Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris on Granit Xhaka's recovery from an ankle injury and whether he has an expected return date: "Not yet but he's going well. He ran today on the treadmill so that’s positive.

"He's a really good player so when we have our best players on the pitch things are better for the team but it is what it is.

"It's not unusual to have injuries or suspensions so you have to deal with the situation and for the players in that part of the pitch it’s an opportunity to step up and show their qualities.

"I hope he will recover and heal quickly."

  3. Angulo could be in the squad against Arsenalpublished at 15:52 GMT

Arsenal v Sunderland (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Sunderland

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris on new signing Nilson Angulo and his fitness: "We’ll see when he’s with us, he played a lot so he is fit. Now it's a question of connection with his teammates, with the squad. It could be quick, I hope it will be the case."

Le Bris says Nilson will arrive this evening and there is a chance he could be involved on Saturday.

  4. 'I'm totally convinced that we are going to be okay'published at 15:50 GMT

Burnley v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo on not replacing Lucas Paqueta: "The situation with Lucas that happened was something that was difficult to do, everybody is aware.

"In the end everybody looked for a better solution but we have to realise that you can have targets but those targets are at other clubs and it's not just what you want but what the other clubs do also so our fans must understand that the transfer window of January is very difficult to operate.

"It's more about rebalancing and understanding what we need for the last matches of the season and I'm totally convinced that we are going to be okay."

  5. 'Everyone else is available, hopefully'published at 15:47 GMT

Burnley v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo on team news: "Some problems that we have to assess, we still have tomorrow, players that we need to see carefully and then decide.

"JC Todibo is going to be out due to the red card.

    "Everyone else is available, hopefully."

  6. Postpublished at 15:47 GMT

West Ham and Sunderland also held their pre-match news conferences this afternoon.

Let's start with Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo. His side make the trip to Burnley this weekend.

  7. 'Munich is the probably biggest part of the history of this club'published at 15:42 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United will honour the victims of the Munich air disaster in their annual commemoration on Friday, in a half-hour service under the Munich clock at Old Trafford (14:45 GMT).

The disaster killed 23 passengers, including eight players, on a flight back from a European Cup tie in Belgrade in 1958.

Michael Carrick on what the remembrance means to him as both the United boss and a former player: "It means a great deal. As soon as you come here, you’re made aware and you can’t help but know and understand the history. It’s a responsibility when you work, or play or coach here to know what came before us and the behaviours and responsibilities we need to carry through.

"Munich is the probably biggest part of the history of this club - the tragedy itself and how the team and football club bounced back. Sir Alex mentioned it when I came, it was important to him and to us, and it’s become a way of life for the club. It’s important we carry it on.

"Being aware of it and around it, you really feel that emotion. Inside the stadium on Saturday we’ll feel it as well."

  8. 'It will be good to see Frank again."published at 15:38 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick had a long chat with Thomas Frank in September and was asked how he reflects on that now: "[Life] certainly can change. We got on really well, first time I had met him properly. We had a good chat about football and processes and ideas a little bit. He was really accommodating and I enjoyed it so it will be good to see him again."

  9. 'I've got really fond memories of Tottenham'published at 15:35 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick on his own move from Tottenham to United as a player: "It was pretty instant. I've got really fond memories of Tottenham and being at the club - I was there for what feels like a short time but really enjoyed it. Good team, Martin Jol was manager, a lot of things I learnt in that short period of time. Coming here was a big jump at the time and I felt that pretty quickly.

"Once you step inside this place as a footballer it turns you - from the first day walking into the dressing room and meeting the manager, that was me."

  10. 'It’s about what’s next'published at 15:33 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

More from Manchester United boss Michael Carrick on facing Spurs: "They certainly bring a challenge. The way they finished the game the other day [against Manchester City], they’ve had players injured, ins and outs and a lot of changes to the team which makes things more challenging and difficult from their perspective.

"They’re getting players back, they have really good attackers that look to stretch the back-line and play forward and attack the box a lot. A slightly different game to what we’ve played in recent weeks in some ways but we’re looking forward to it and we're in a good place.

"The boys have worked well again this week. Feet on the ground, let’s not get carried away with what's gone on. It’s about what’s next - big challenge ahead but we're looking forward to it."

  11. 'We feel confident that we’ve got a lot of growth in the team'published at 15:29 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick was asked if it surprises him how well his first few games in charge have gone: "Coming in at the start and the games go so quickly, it was kind of step-by-step so I wasn’t looking too far ahead. The first two games were standout games and we expected a tough start and in some ways that helped get the whole group focused and alive.

"Over time we got a vague idea of what we wanted to look like and since we’ve been here that becomes a lot clearer in what direction we want to go in and how we want to play. We feel confident that we’ve got a lot of growth in the team and squad."

  12. Mount back soon, De Ligt a bit longerpublished at 15:25 GMT

Man Utd v Tottenham (Sat, 12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick on the fitness of Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt: "Mason sooner. He’s not too far away. We’re hopeful it won’t be too long.

"Matta is working his way back, taking good steps and improving and being really positive. Little bit too soon at the moment but hopefully not too long."

  13. Carrick incomingpublished at 15:22 GMT

    Manchester United

Michael Carrick has just been speaking to the media ahead of facing Spurs this weekend. He says they won't be getting carried away after three wins from three.

Let's get the latest from Carrington...

Get Involved - Rosenior 'using the warm-up issue to try and detract'published at 15:19 GMT

I think Liam is using the warm-up issue to try and detract from having got his tactics completely wrong against Arsenal. A Chelsea 11 minus a couple of injuries should still put on a performance!

Much like taking someone's parking space, there's nothing *technically* wrong with coming over to their side of the pitch. But morally, don't be surprised when you get shouted at for it.

  17. What happened with Rosenior and Arsenal?published at 14:40 GMT

Wolves v Chelsea (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

The quote that seems to have grabbed the attention from Liam Rosenior's news conference was that addressing the midweek "beef" with Arsenal.

For those that missed it, a clip went viral on social media prior to Tuesday's fixture of Rosenior shouting, with a few expletives, towards the Arsenal players and coaches during warm-ups.

It appears as though the Gunners players and or staff had encroached onto the half of the pitch that Chelsea were doing their warm-ups in.

Rosenior can be heard shouting "That's your half! Stay there," towards them - with a bit more colourful language involved.

During today's news conference, the Chelsea boss said he has no issue with anyone at Arsenal but perceived it as a lack of respect towards his team.

Certainly a different persona on show from Liam Rosenior today and a bit more bite in the answers to the questions thrown at him.

Here are the top lines from his news conference:

Get Involved - Tactical genius or naivety?published at 14:24 GMT

A point people are missing is that Arsenal didn't need to win the game. Nil-nil was fine for them. So was it tactical genius or naivety either way they lost.

  20. 'I don't have a best XI'published at 14:21 GMT

Wolves v Chelsea (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior on what he thinks is his best XI: "I got asked this question not long ago - I don't have a best XI. I have a best starting team and a best finishing team.

"I don't think best XIs are the way to go. I'm learning about the group all the time. They know the journey I want to go on with them."
