    Macclesfield can keep their heads held high knowing how well they did. Not only did they give a Premier League side a tough game in the fourth round, not only did they knock out another one in the third round. But they beat the holders. That is truly amazing.

    If this is to be the end of their journey, they're bowing out in style.

    Brentford, like Palace and other physical Premier teams effectively play a very similar game to Macclesfield albeit with better quality players

    It's not like Brentford have really carved Macclesfield open. Maybe there was a bit of fatigue in there but their biggest issue is that they haven't been able to get up the field at all.
