I wonder what Arsenal fans would choose...the European cup which they've NEVER won - or the league title? It may very well come to that as Arteta will undoubtedly have to rotate.

    Sporting 1-0 Bodo/Glimt (1-3 agg)

It's been a lively start to the second half with Bodo/Glimt looking much more settled after the break.

Patrick Berg strikes a free-kick straight into the hands of Sporting goalkeeper Rui Silva and moments later, Geny Catamo hits the side-netting at the opposite end.

Sporting captain Morten Hjulmand then sees a deflected effort go wide - that could have easily ended up in the back of the net.

The hosts will feel the pressure building if the score remains the same for much longer.

  5. Great Champions League comebackspublished at 18:56 GMT

Roma 3-0 Barcelona (quarter-final second leg, 10 April 2018, 4-4 on agg, Roma win on away goals)

    Champions League

"Roma have risen from their ruins."

That iconic line from commentator Peter Drury summed up an incredible night as Roma clinched a memorable comeback to send Barcelona packing in the quarter-finals.

Own goals from Daniele de Rossi and Kostas Manolas helped Barca record a 4-1 win in the first leg at the Nou Camp.

Edin Dzeko's late goal in Spain gave Roma something to build from and the forward struck early in the return leg to further strengthen their belief.

De Rossi atoned for his own goal with a second-half strike and, with just eight minutes to go, Manolas headed home a corner to end Roma's 34-year wait for a place in the semi-finals of Europe's leading competition.

Manchester City's humbling at Real Madrid in the first leg of this last-16 tie leaves Pep Guardiola's side with an almighty mountain to climb tonight.

The Premier League side need to overturn a 3-0 deficit in order to avoid being knocked out by Real in this competition for the third straight season.

Lying nine points adrift of Arsenal in the league, this could prove to be a defining week for City if they exit Europe before Sunday's meeting against the Gunners in the Carabao Cup final.

Guardiola ended last season without winning a major trophy, a second successive campaign with no silverware would be an unthinkable prospect.
