Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a stress fracture in his back.

The Swans have also lost another wide player, Manuel Benson, with his loan spell from Burnley cut short so that he can join Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.

Even so, Vitor Matos does not believe there is a need to look to sign a winger before Monday's transfer deadline having completed a loan deal for Gustavo Nunes last week.

"There's depth in the squad that we can use to cover," the Swansea head coach said.

Having sat out Swansea's past two games, Inoussa is now set to be sidelined until the final stages of his first season in Wales.

The Sweden Under-21s international has endured a mixed campaign, scoring once in 29 appearances - including 12 league starts - since joining from BK Hacken for a significant undisclosed fee last summer.

"It is something regarding a stress fracture, something that he had before and sometimes with the amount of games, that can aggravate it," Matos said.

"That was the case unfortunately for him and for us. The most important thing is that he returns in good shape."

Swansea had been looking to offload Benson throughout this transfer window after his disappointing spell at the Championship club.

He arrived on a deal until the end of the season on the final day of the summer transfer window, but he has had almost no impact in Swansea colours.

The 28-year-old made only eight Swansea appearances - including just one league start – and has joined Maccabi Haifa.

Matos, meantime, says Ethan Galbraith is available for Saturday's trip to Watford having returned to full training on full Thursday.

The Northern Ireland international was withdrawn at half-time at Hull City last weekend due to an ongoing knee problem.

Ishe Samuels-Smith could also return to the Swansea squad at Vicarage Road after a groin injury.
