Grimsby Town have extended the contract of defender Cameron McJannet for another year to keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.

McJannet, 27, has played 82 games for the Mariners since he signed from League of Ireland side Derry City in June 2024.

"We're really pleased to secure Cameron's services for another year," head coach David Artell told the club's website, external.

"Since he arrived, he's shown real consistency and a desire to improve, and we've seen positive development in his game during that time."

Grimsby are ninth in League Two, five points outside the play-offs.
