Bristol Rovers manager Steve Evans has been given a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association after admitting a charge of misconduct.

Evans was sent off, along with Plymouth Argyle manager Tom Cleverley, during their sides' meeting in the Vertu Trophy earlier this month where Argyle won a 4-3 thriller to reach the quarter-finals.

Evans was shown red after the final whistle and admitted acting in an improper manner, accepting the standard penalty of a touchline ban and £500 fine.

Bristol Rovers travel to Salford City on Saturday (15:00 GMT) in League Two.
