Port Vale have signed defender Tyler Magloire on a deal to the end of the season with an option to extend.
Magloire previously played under Vale boss Jon Brady at Northampton Town but has most recently been with non-league Workington Town.
The 27-year-old helped Northampton win promotion from League Two in 2023, having joined them from Blackburn Rovers the previous year following a loan spell.
"He is one of the fastest and most powerful centre-backs I've ever worked with," Brady said.
"He picked up two injuries that were unfortunate and not his fault from reckless tackles, he fought his way back and played very well to help us get promotion at Northampton.
"He had great opportunities over the summer, a couple of clubs let him down in the end, but what he has done is rolled his sleeves up and gone and played for Workington, and I've got the utmost respect for that."
