Midfielder Andy Cannon has joined League One Burton Albion from Championship promotion contenders Wrexham for the rest of the 2025-26 season.
The 29-year-old suffered a serious knee injury for Wrexham almost 12 months ago and he goes to Pirelli Stadium with the backing of Phil Parkinson, his boss at the north Wales club.
Brewers boss Gary Bowyer thanked Parkinson and his own club's hierarchy, adding: "Andy will bring a winning mentality and his experience will help the group. I have followed his career from when he was at Rochdale and his energy and his ability to score important goals is what I am looking forward to seeing."
Parkinson said: "We wish Andy all the best. He's worked really hard to get himself fit and this opportunity gives him the chance to get back to playing first-team football."
Cannon said: "I'm delighted that it's all done and I can't wait to get going. I just want to get as many games in as I can and help the team."
Cannon, who will wear the 42 shirt, is ineligible for the trip to Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday, but is set to face visitors Cardiff City on Saturday, 31 January as they seek to climb away from the bottom end of the table.
