Striker Aneke released by Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Town have released striker Chuks Aneke after just four months at The Croud Meadow.
The 32-year-old made 15 appearances across all competitions, although he failed to start in any game he feature in.
Aneke, who started on the books at Arsenal and counts Charlton Athletic, Birmingham City, MK Dons and Crewe among his previous clubs, scored just once for Shrewsbury during his time with the League Two side.
In a brief statement on the club website,, external Shrewsbury confirmed that Aneke had "made the decision to step away from his playing role with the club by mutual consent".
