Rotherham United have appointed former Aberdeen coach Peter Leven as their assistant manager until the end of the season.

The 42-year-old, who was in caretaker charge at the Dons until earlier this month, replaces Dale Tonge, who left the Millers on Tuesday.

The Scot, who had spells playing in the EFL with Chesterfield, MK Dons and Oxford, has also coached in Belarus and Russia.

He will now assist Lee Clark as they look to rescue Rotherham, who are six points adrift of safety in League One, from relegation.
