Grimsby Town have extended the loan deal of goalkeeper Jackson Smith until the end of the season.

The Barnsley stopper joined the Mariners on an emergency loan last month and has subsequently played three games, keeping clean sheets in two of them.

The 24-year-old had also played seven games during an emergency loan spell at Blundell Park in October 2024.

Smith will also be eligible to play in Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie at home to National League South side Weston-super-Mare.
