The former Burnley and West Bromwich Albion keeper, 50, has been with Salop since joining from Bury in June 2019.
The Dane worked under six different managers in his time at Croud Meadow and moves on following the arrival of Gavin Cowan - the club's seventh new boss during Jensen's spell - on 29 January.
In a statement,, external Shrewsbury thanked Jensen for his "dedication" and his "significant contribution on and off the pitch".
Jensen added: "I've really enjoyed my time at Shrewsbury Town and I'm grateful for the opportunity the club has given me.
"I wish everyone at the club nothing but success going forward."
