Doncaster Rovers have signed Scotland international goalkeeper Zander Clark on loan until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old Heart of Midlothian player arrives at the Eco-Power Stadium as veteran Ian Lawlor leaves on a free transfer to join Crewe Alexandra.

Clark, who lost his first-choice status with the Jam Tarts two seasons ago but has played seven Scottish Premiership games for them this season, has joined the League One strugglers for the rest of the season.

He has spent 15 seasons in the Scottish top flight, firstly with St Johnstone, and for the last four with Hearts.

Doncaster goalkeeping coach Kyle Letheren told the club website:, external "Zander has got great experience in Scotland. He's somebody I know because I'm lucky to be young enough to have played against him in the past.

"He's a big presence, he kicks the ball a long way and he's a great shot stopper. We can really lean on his experience."
