Wales will play qualifiers in Llanelli, Wrexham and Cardiff as they begin their bid to reach the 2027 Women's World Cup.

Rhian Wilkinson's side will face Montenegro at Parc y Scarlets in their first home game in Group B1 on Saturday, 7 March (16:30 GMT).

They will meet Albania at Wrexham's Stok Cae Ras on Tuesday, 14 April (19:15 BST) with their final group game, against Czech Republic, taking place at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 9 June (KO TBC).

Wales' away fixtures in the group start with a trip to Czech Republic on Tuesday, 3 March, while they travel to Albania on Saturday, 18 April and Montenegro on Friday, 5 June.

Wales cannot qualify automatically for the World Cup, which takes place in Brazil, because they are competing in League B of the Nations League, which doubles up as their World Cup qualifying group.

Assuming they do not finish bottom, Wales will progress to play-offs late in 2026.

Should Wilkinson's team win the group, their first-round play-off would be against a nation who finish second or third in a League B pool.

But if Wales finish second or third in their group, they would face a side who finish in fourth place in League A or a Group B winner.

The second round of the play-offs is seeded and, should Wales get that far, they would be likely to face League A opposition.

Even a win at that stage may not mean Wales' job is done, because the lowest-ranked of the eight European teams who come through the play-offs will go into inter-confederation play-offs in February 2027.

Wales could conceivably be that side.

Wales most recently played in Llanelli in July 2024, when they beat Kosovo in Euro 2025 qualifying, while their previous game in Wrexham was the draw with Sweden in February 2025.
