Huddersfield Town have signed winger Bali Mumba from League One rivals Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has agreed what the Terriers describe as a "long-term contract" that runs "until at least the summer of 2029".
Mumba moved to Argyle in the summer of 2023 for £1m from Norwich City after helping Plymouth win the League One title while on loan at Home Park earlier that year.
"Bali is an exciting footballer who undoubtedly strengthens our squad for the second half of the season, and beyond," Huddersfield Town manager Lee Grant told the club website., external
"In our conversations to date he's shown a real appetite to take on a new challenge and push himself to improve even further, sharing our ambitions and displaying a genuine desire to be a Huddersfield Town player.
"Blessed with natural pace, the confidence to take on his man and the adaptability to be equally effective in a number of positions, I'm excited to get working with Bali and see us benefit from his contributions as soon as possible."
Having scored six goals in his first season in League One while on loan, Mumba has found the net just three times since - his last coming in a 1-0 win at Rotherham United in April 2024 that was key to Argyle staying in the Championship that season.
In total, he played 170 times for the Pilgrims, scoring nine goals including an impressive individual effort in Argyle's first game back in the Championship in August 2024 when they beat Huddersfield 3-1 at Home Park.
"Bali has been an incredible servant to the football club, forming an integral part of the side who clinched the League One title with 101 points," Plymouth Argyle director of football Derek Adams told his club's website., external
"He expressed a desire to move on to the next stage of his career, and the club would never stand in his way after all his contributions to Argyle over the years.
"All parties felt it was the best thing to allow him to move on to a new opportunity and he will always be welcome back at Home Park whenever he wishes."
