Louis Reed has signed a new one-year deal with Mansfield Town just two days after he sensationally helped the Stags into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The 28-year-old scored twice against his former club Sheffield United, which set the League One side up for a thrilling 4-3 victory against their Championship hosts at Bramall Lane.

Reed, whose contract now runs until the summer of 2027, joined Stags in January 2023 and was instrumental in getting the Nottinghamshire side promoted from League Two in 2024.

Before scoring twice against the Blades on Sunday, Reed had scored just three goals in 118 appearances across all competition for Mansfield.
