Bristol City sign Oxford's De Keersmaecker on loan

Bristol City have signed Oxford United's Brian De Keersmaecker on a season-long loan, with an option to buy the midfielder.

The 26-year-old Belgian moved to the English game from Dutch side Heracles Almelo in the summer of 2025 and was relegated from the Championship in his first season with the U's.

De Keersmaecker missed the final months of Oxford's failed attempt at survival last term, having had his season ended by shoulder injury that required surgery in February.

He made the last of his 28 appearances for the club in January, and has not been included in any of their matchday squads since they dropped back into League One.
