Solihull Moors 0-2 Maidenhead United

  • Published

Solihull Moors missed the chance to climb into the Vanarama National League play-off positions after slipping to a 2-0 home defeat to Maidenhead.

James Akintunde's first goal of the season was enough to give Maidenhead back-to-back victories for just the second time this season.

Daniel Whitehall had the best chance of a tight first half for Maidenhead but saw Solihull goalkeeper Ryan Boot parry his shot to safety.

Kyle Storer went close for the hosts after 63 minutes but Taye Ashby-Hammond stopped smartly before the visitors went ahead.

Akintunde tapped home at the far post after Moors failed to deal with a cross into the box.

Storer saw a shot come back off the post as Solihull went close before Maidenhead wrapped up victory when Ody Alfa drove clear to slot under Boot.
