A Courtney Duffus brace saw Yeovil beat FC Halifax 2-0 despite playing for 81 minutes with 10 men.
Yeovil suffered an early blow when Gold Omotayo was shown a red card in the ninth minute.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, the hosts almost broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when the ball fell to Duffus in the box but he could not find the target.
Duffus eventually got the opening goal in the 34th minute when he headed in Chris Dagnall's cross.
Halifax threw the kitchen sink at Yeovil in the second half but it was the hosts who grabbed a second through Duffus in added time to secure a victory that moves them up to third.
