Harrogate climbed into the National League play-off places after a 2-1 win over Torquay at Wetherby Road.
Alex Bradley cut inside from the right and his deflected strike beat the goalkeeper to give Harrogate the lead in the 10th minute.
There were no other real chances in the opening 45 minutes but Town doubled their lead early in the second half when Jon Stead curled a left-footed strike into the top corner.
Jamie Reid pulled a goal back for Torquay from the penalty spot in the 68th minute after a foul in the area by Bradley.
Ben Whitfield came close to an equaliser for the Gulls in the 87th minute but his shot was just wide.
