Tommy Wright scored a second-half brace as Sutton recorded a National League victory over Harrogate Town at Gander Green Lane.

Ben Wyatt fired an early effort just over the crossbar as Sutton attempted to go in front in the opening stages, while Will Smith headed over for Harrogate at the other end.

The hosts took the lead just before the half-hour mark as top scorer Harry Beautyman nodded Craig Eastmond's assist home from close range for his eighth goal of the season.

Josh Falkingham equalised for Harrogate midway through the second half but Wright restored Sutton's lead four minutes later as he netted from outside the 18-yard box.

Wright completed his double three minutes from time, securing United's second consecutive win and ending high-flying Harrogate's three-match unbeaten run.

Victory moves Sutton two points clear of the relegation zone.
