Boreham Wood 1-0 Solihull Moors

  • Published

Tyrone Marsh grabbed a stoppage-time winner as Boreham Wood beat Solihull Moors in the National League.

Marsh and Kabongo Tshimanga were denied by Callum Howe and Ryan Boot respectively in a strong start for the hosts, while Gavin Gunning drew a decent save from debutant Nathan Ashmore at the other end.

Moors' Adi Yussuf just failed to connect with a cross in front of goal as the half ended goalless, while Boot saved well from Tshimanga again just before the hour.

Adam McDonnell curled a Boreham Wood free-kick against the crossbar with 10 minutes remaining and Ashmore kept out a Jamey Osborne set-piece at the other end.

But Marsh sealed the points in the fifth minute of added time with a shot on the turn after a corner was flicked on to him in the area.
