Steph Houghton's seventh-minute free-kick was enough to secure a 1-0 win for Manchester City over Everton in wet and windy conditions at Haig Avenue.

City's win maintains their perfect start to the season, while consigning Everton to their first defeat.
The visitors could have won more comfortably but Nick Cushing's side spurned some good chances, the best of which fell to Pauline Bremer, whose shot was tipped onto the inside of the post by Tinja-Riikka Korpela.
Prior to Graham's headed effort, which was cleared away by Janine Beckie, the closest Everton came to an equaliser was through Chloe's Kelly's fierce drive which clipped the outside of the post.
