Chesterfield earned only their second win of the National league season as Liam Mandeville inspired them to success against Aldershot.
Ethan Chislett gave Aldershot a 11th-minute lead after Harry Panayiotou's shot was saved.
Tom Denton headed against a post for Chesterfield and the Shots went close through Shamir Mullings before Scott Bowden equalised five minutes before half-time from Mandeville's cross.
Panayiotou hammered an Aldershot penalty over the bar after Mullings was brought down in the box and just four minutes later, Mandeville's calm finish put Chesterfield 2-1 up.
Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong and Panayiotou were denied an equaliser by a post and the offside flag respectively but the Spireites held on.
