Chesterfield 1-1 Dagenham & Redbridge

Struggling Chesterfield held on for a much-needed National League point from a 1-1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge at the Proact Stadium.

The home side enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges and Scott Boden fired an effort over the crossbar early on before Dagenham goalkeeper Elliot Justham put in a great save to keep out a Joe Rowley free-kick.

Yet it was the Daggers who opened the scoring 10 minutes before the break as Joan Luque slotted Angelo Balanta's assist into the bottom corner.

Mike Fondop equalised for the Spireites after 68 minutes as he rose highest to head Laurence Maguire's cross home.

It proved enough to earn a draw for John Sheridan's side as their opponents extended their unbeaten run to four matches.
