Halifax bounced back from their midweek defeat at Wrexham to earn a late draw at Aldershot.
It took just 47 seconds for the Shots to edge ahead, with George Fowler nodding a first-minute corner beyond the reach of Sam Johnson.
Halifax were unlucky not to draw level just minutes later through skipper Matty Brown, but his header ricocheted off team-mate Nathan Clarke before the hosts were able to clear.
The Shaymen were eventually on equal terms with just eight minutes of regular time remaining, when summer arrival Jerome Binnom-Williams converted Cameron King's corner.
Josh Staunton could have won it at the death for the visitors, but he steered Liam McAlinden's cross wide from just yards out.
