Harrogate secured a play-off place in their maiden National League season after a home win over Gateshead.
Town started slowly and Jack Hunter, in space, should have headed the visitors in front after 32 minutes.
But the Heed failed to push on and Harrogate converted with their first real chance of the game four minutes before the break.
Jordan Thewlis latched onto a long ball and finished into an empty net after rounding goalkeeper Aynsley Pears.
From then on the hosts looked in control and doubled their lead after 55 minutes when Thewlis did well to find Mark Beck for a simple tap-in.
