Barrow 2-2 Harrogate Town

  • Published

A second-half comeback by play-off hopefuls Harrogate Town rescued a draw against Barrow in the National League.

Goals from Lewis Hardcastle and John Rooney - his a penalty - had put the home side into a commanding position at the break.

Hardcastle rounded James Belshaw to open the scoring and then Rooney converted after a foul by Ryan Fallowfield.

But, shortly after the interval, Barrow goalkeeper Joel Dixon gifted Harrogate a route back into the game when his clearance rebounded off Jack Muldoon and into an empty net.

Callum Howe's 70th-minute header earned Town a point, which sees them remain in sixth place, while Barrow stay 11th.
