Harrogate Town 1-2 AFC Fylde

  • Published

Danny Rowe netted a stoppage-time penalty as AFC Fylde secured a dramatic 2-1 victory at Harrogate in the National League.

Rowe - who had hit the bar in the first half - opened the scoring two minutes after the break, converting a 30-yard free-kick for his 17th goal of the season.

He then wasted a great opportunity to double his side's lead when he saw his spot-kick saved by Harrogate goalkeeper James Belshaw in the 68th minute.

Harrogate made them pay in the 82nd minute when substitute Mark Beck levelled on the half-volley before Fylde were awarded a second penalty in time added on.

Rowe stepped up again and made no mistake, with the home side then having Liam Kitching dismissed for two bookings in quick succession.

It was a fourth loss in five games for Harrogate while Fylde have now taken seven points from their last three matches.
