FC Halifax Town 0-1 Sutton United

  • Published

Craig Eastmond netted a stoppage-time winner at Halifax to bring Sutton their first win in nine matches.

The home side squandered a double opportunity to take an early lead as Matt Kosylo's drive was parried by Jamie Butler before the ball was worked back into the box for Niall Maher to be thwarted by the goalkeeper once again.

The second half was a mundane affair. Matty Brown came close to scoring an opener for Halifax as he headed just wide.

Eastmond's late sucker punch left Halifax with just one win in 17 league games.

Brett Williams centred for the midfielder's coup de grace, four minutes into added time.
