Grimsby Town 2-1 Swindon Town

Wes Thomas goals either side of half-time saw Grimsby continue their recent run of wins at home as they beat Swindon 2-1.

Michael Doughty went close for Swindon inside the opening 10 minutes as a path into the penalty area opened up for him, but James McKeown got down to palm the midfielder's effort away.

Grimsby took the lead when Sid Nelson was penalised for a handball inside the box and Thomas stepped up to convert from the spot despite Lawrence Vigouroux getting a strong hand to the ball.

Swindon responded just a couple of minutes later as Matt Taylor brilliantly curled the ball home after Elijah Adebayo won a free-kick 25 yards out.

McKeown was forced into a great save from Adebayo just after the break, and it proved crucial as just minutes later Vigouroux could only block an effort from distance from Elliot Embleton, and Thomas was on hand to tap in the rebound and earn his side a fourth successive home win.
