Chesterfield pulled further clear of the National League relegation zone with victory at Barnet.
The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute when Charlie Carter headed in after Tom Denton's effort came back off the crossbar.
The Bees rallied and went close through a curling shot from Simeon Akinola, who later also sent a header wide. At the other end, Denton's header dropped just over.
The Spireites, who had won two of their previous three league games, threatened again on the hour as Ellis Chapman shot wide before then heading another chance over.
Barnet forward Shaq Coulthirst shot just off target and Dan Sweeney's effort was tipped away. Chesterfield, though, made sure of victory when substitute Alex Kiwomya scored a second with nine minutes left.
