FA Cup: Billericay Town 1-3 Chesterfield highlights

Tom Denton's superb hat-trick saw National League side Chesterfield beat National League South Billericay Town in their FA Cup replay to move into the second round.

Five minutes before half-time Denton gave Chesterfield the lead after he calmly stroked the ball home following good work from Lee Shaw.

Billericay levelled through Joe Kizzi's close-range finish before Chesterfield immediately regained the lead when Denton nodded in his second.

And Denton made sure of the win late on as he turned the ball home from substitute Levi Amantchi's pull back, setting up a home tie with League Two Grimsby for a place in the third round.

The visitors' first serious chance came midway through the first half when Shaw raced onto a long ball, but his effort was smothered by the agile Alan Julian.

Shortly before half-time Chesterfield made the breakthrough. Good work from Shaw down the right saw him square to Denton who tapped in from close range.

Billericay got their equaliser when Kizzi turned in following another superb delivery from Callum Kennedy.

But Denton scored just two minutes later after Billericay failed to clear a corner.

Denton then rounded off a superb night for both him and the team with his hat-trick in the dying minutes.
