England international Lucy Staniforth scored one and set one up for Birmingham
Birmingham City recorded a routine win over West Ham United but slipped a place to fourth in the Women's Super League table on goal difference.
Defender Kerys Harrop headed in Lucy Staniforth's corner to give the Blues the lead in the 19th minute.
Emma Follis then latched on to a through ball from Chloe Arthur to dink in and double the hosts' lead five minutes before the break.
Staniforth slotted in from a Charlie Wellings pass to wrap up the points.
A second successive win puts Birmingham two points behind second-placed Manchester City, but Chelsea move above the Blues following their 5-0 thrashing of Yeovil.
