Chesterfield 0-3 Gateshead

Gateshead ensured Chesterfield's miserable National League run continued with a 3-0 victory at the Proact Stadium.

Martin Allen's Spireites have picked up just two points from a possible 27 after two goals from Scott Boden and one from Steven Rigg gave the visitors victory.

Boden, once of Chesterfield, poked home from close range to give the visitors an 18th-minute lead, which was doubled two minutes before half-time when Rigg rounded off a solo run with a curling 20-yard finish.

Spireites substitute Zavon Hines was dismissed eight minutes after his 56th-minute introduction following a foul on Greg Olley.

A dismal day for the hosts was complete midway through the second half when Boden scored his second after good work by Robbie Tinkler.
