Chesterfield 0-0 Dover Athletic

Chesterfield ended a six-game losing streak in the National League with a draw against fellow strugglers Dover at the Proact Stadium.

Dover, who remain stuck in the relegation zone, had the better of a dull first half with Tim Schmoll wasting a good chance when heading over from close range.

Jamie Allen and Anthony Jeffrey also went close for Dover, while Chesterfield midfielder Curtis Weston shot straight at Mitch Walker midway through the opening period.

The Spireites started the second half brightly with Joe Rowley twice going close, firstly when firing over before then seeing a shot well saved by Walker.

There was plenty of drama as the game entered the closing stages, with Aryan Tajbakhsh blazing over for Dover before the midfielder was sent off in added time.

Bradley Barry almost made the visitors pay with the last act of the match but he hit the post and then the bar as the game finished goalless.
