Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Rotherham United

Skipper Richard Wood scored the winner just before half time as in-form Rotherham won at League One leaders Shrewsbury.

Paul Warne's fourth-placed side have now won six games in a row during an impressive 13-match unbeaten run.

Rotherham started well and Michael Smith fired just wide from Semi Ajayi's flick before home goalkeeper Dean Henderson had to be alert to deal with shots from David Ball and Joe Newell.

Shrewsbury also created chances with Carlton Morris heading Shaun Whalley's corner over the crossbar.

Then Rotherham goalkeeper Marek Rodak came racing off his line to block Whalley's effort after the winger was released by a pass from Jon Nolan.

The visitors broke the deadlock a minute before the interval as central defender Wood turned home from close range after Rotherham kept the pressure on following a corner.

Shrewsbury chased an equaliser in the second half and Nathan Thomas was denied by Rodak before Abu Ogogo fired narrowly off target.
