Crewe Alexandra 0-1 Blackburn Rovers

Danny Graham's first-half goal was enough for Blackburn to beat Crewe and secure a home FA Cup third-round tie against Championship side Hull.

The replay did not rival the drama of the 3-3 draw at Ewood Park, but Derrick Williams set up Graham to fire home.

His strike partner Joe Nuttall twice went close while Graham clipped the bar with a fine strike before half time.

Crewe improved and Chris Dagnall hit the upright while Jordan Bowery curled wide, but Rovers held firm.

Tony Mowbray's Blackburn, third in League One and 43 places above their League Two opponents, could have won by a wider margin but Sam Hart saw his effort cleared off the line and Ben Garratt kept out a miskick from Crewe team-mate Eddie Nolan.

The game, put back by 24 hours because of adverse weather conditions, was largely played in wintry conditions in the north-west of England.

George Cooper gave the ball away for the hosts in the build up to Graham's decisive finish for what was the ex-Swansea and Sunderland forward's fifth goal of the season.
