Striker Shawn McCoulsky is proving to be Newport's super-sub this season
Substitute Shawn McCoulsky rescued a point for Newport County against Mansfield Town.
The 20-year-old Bristol City loanee has grabbed goals off the bench in County's past two games.
McCoulsky continued his scoring run when he volleyed Ben Tozer's long throw into the corner from 10 yards out.
Mansfield had led at half-time thanks to Danny Rose, who reacted fastest when the ball broke to him after Kane Hemmings' header was blocked.
Newport manager Mike Flynn told BBC Radio Wales:
"I'm massively disappointed. They're one of the big spenders of the league and I thought we dominated, especially in the second half.
"Conditions were the same for both teams and I won't make excuses about that.
"The reasons I will use are that we should have had three or four penalties for pulling and we gave away a sloppy goal.
They are the things that grated on me today."
