Dover went a point clear at the top of the National League thanks to a home victory against Solihull Moors.
Chances were few and far between in the first half as Mitch Pinnock warmed the gloves of Nathan Vaughan with a free-kick, as the keeper tipped over.
Solihull also contributed fully to an intriguing match, but could not create anything concrete to test Mitch Walker in the home goal.
Ryan Bird finally found the net in the 80th minute, powering in a close-range header after a pinpoint cross by Paul Lewis.
The Whites were good value for the win, as Lewis and Jamie Allen came close to extending the lead for Chris Kinnear's pacesetters.
