Lincoln City added to the pressure on Wrexham boss Gary Mills as Luke Waterfall and Harry Anderson struck to put them second in the National League.

Former Wrexham defender Waterfall headed in Lincoln's opener before Anderson doubled their lead before the interval.

Hamza Bencherif scored a late consolation with a stunning 25-yard strike.

Mills is the only manager of a leading Welsh club to have survived the early stages of the season.

Cardiff's Paul Trollope has followed Swansea's Francesco Guidolin and Warren Feeney of Newport in losing their jobs.

Wrexham manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio Wales: "People talk about pressure and all that. If I didn't enjoy it, then I wouldn't do it.

"You have to take the rough with the smooth.

"I've had good times and at the moment I'm personally going through a sticky little patch that I will come through and then we move on.

"My players got clapped off tonight because they deserved to be clapped off and I felt for them."
