Fleetwood's goal was his first for Eastleigh in eleven appearances
Stuart Fleetwood's first goal of the season gave Eastleigh a narrow 1-0 Conference victory over Braintree.
The 28-year-old broke the deadlock in the 35th minute with a powerful header from Will Evans' cross.
Braintree could have hit back straight away but Eastleigh goalkeeper Ross Flitney was well placed to save Dan Sparkes' shot from the edge of the box.
The visitors pushed hard for an equaliser late in the game but Eastleigh held on to claim the win.
